Please only bring old clothes, and remember that it’ll most likely be very cold and wet! You must be able to pack your own bag, look after yourself and your stuff! Scouts will need to be able to carry their bags from the drop off – to minibus to campsite – from minibus to tent – and the reverse on Sunday

Essential Clothing
the best way to keep warm is to wear layers
- 2 t shirts
- 2 Warm Shirts
- 2 Jumpers
- 2 Pairs of Trousers (not jeans, which are useless in wet weather)
- 3 Pairs of Socks
- 3 Changes of Underwear
- Warm Coat or Fleece
- Waterproofs (both jacket AND trousers)
- Hiking Boots &/or Strong Trainers if possible avoid
- Welly boots – generally they are poor at keeping feet warm
- Spare Trainers
- Warm Hat
- Gloves
Sleeping Kit
- Sleeping Bag (Either a 4-season winter bag or two normal bags, one inside the other)
- Sleeping Mat (or two, to provide extra insulation between the ground and you)
- Pyjamas
- pillow case – this can be stuffed with clothes to form pillow
Essential Kit
- Mug – for hot drink / soup – none breakable
- Wash Kit
- Towel
- Torch (ideally a LED head torch)
- Spare Torch Batteries
- Poly Bag for wet clothes etc.
- Water bottle
- Medicines – if necessary
- Small rucksack for carrying hat, gloves coat around the site
